Process Engineer/Program Manager
DSI currently has an opening for a Process Engineer/Program Manager.
Qualified candidates must be able to provide leadership in the development and implementation of optical coatings in manufacturing. Other critical experience: Coating design , development of manufacturing processes for the manufacturing of products and improved operating efficiency, e-beam, evaporation, sputtering or other thin film deposition techniques.
BS degree in a technical discipline or related field. A minimum of 7 years of experience in the related area. Must be willing to apply for a security clearance, candidates possessing an active security clearance are encouraged to apply.

Coating Technician - PVD
Deposition Sciences, Inc. (DSI) produces the most durable, heat resistant and reliable optical thin film coatings in the market. We are currently seeking a Coating Technician for our PVD process.
DSI's evaporative coating chambers are used for complex infrared coatings. Advanced thin film designs are deposited in precision, cryo-pumped vacuum chambers using electron beam guns and resistance sources with the option of ion assist.
This is not an entry-level position. All candidates must have at least 5 years experience in a mechanical and/or technical position. Prior PVD coating experience preferred.
Other skills/qualifications include but are not limited to:
Ability to obtain a security clearance.
Ability to sit/clean/inspect parts for a period of time.
Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time (some coating runs are 14 hrs so your shift could be 8 hrs of coating all day).
Meticulous and detail orientated.
Ability to follow very specific written instructions.
Ability to accomplish quality work quickly within a given time period.
Must be able to work as a team player or independently.
Excellent communication and computer skills.
Position could be on a day, swing or mid-shift, therefore all applicants must be shift flexible and willing to work day, swing or mid-shift.
This is a temp-to-hire position. Salary is dependent on experience.
