President's Message
Welcome to our website. As DSI's president, I'm pleased to introduce myself to you and to share with you all that DSI has to offer.
Deposition Sciences, Inc. was founded in 1985 with the goal of providing its customers with the best service and most reliable thin film optical coatings and thin film coated products available anywhere. We have come a long way since our founding year - our business has grown and our customer base has expanded beyond our expectations. One thing remains constant, however, and that is our commitment to provide our customers with outstanding service and value.
DSI's Commercial Products Group (CPG) provides thin film products of exceptional performance and value to the company's commercial customers. CPG works to continually establish new standards for performance and value as our knowledge base grows, our deposition technologies advance, and our customers' requirements unfold.
DSI's Special Products Group (SPG) provides innovative optical thin film products and solutions to meet the rigorous requirements of our government and aerospace customers. Our knowledge and expertise in the design, development, and production of high performance thin film products for extreme, real world, military and space applications makes this segment of our business a valuable resource to government and aerospace contractors. DSI has been a preferred vendor for a variety of programs, including the NPOESS, BSTS, MES, MSTI-3, Warfighter, and SBIRS-High programs.
DSI offers a unique combination of four advanced coating platforms: MicroDyn® Reactive Sputtering, IsoDynTM Low Pressure Chemical Vapor Deposition (LPCVD), Plasma Chemical Vapor Deposition (PCVD) and Ion Assisted Thermal Evaporation. Rather than forcing a customer's requirements to fit an existing process solution, DSI works to find the best solution for each customer's challenge. This approach provides our DSI customers with the greatest breadth and depth of thin film coating technology available anywhere.
DSI is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company (Registrar SRI certificate number 007437). Our commitment to quality and customer service laid the foundation for certification and the ISO 9001:2000 framework of international quality standards are enhancing the company's ability to produce the highest quality products and to provide excellent customer service.
And last, but not least, we believe that our people are the most talented, creative, and dedicated in our industry. This belief is supported by 19 patents, 15 patents pending, and a proven track record of finding and applying the best thin film technology to solve customer problems.
